When Prince Harry visited King Charles after receiving his shocking cancer diagnosis, he reportedly requested not to be in the same room as his stepmother, Queen Camilla.
Only hours after the news broke, the Duke of Sussex took a plane to the UK to have a face-to-face meeting with his father.
Harry reportedly only spent forty-five minutes with his father before he left Clarence House and checked into a hotel in London. After landing in the UK for the first time, he took off again for the US, a little over a day later.
Journalist Petronella Wyatt, a friend of Camilla’s, has now provided insight into the meeting’s events.
“Harry, I hear, preferred not to be in the same room with his stepmother when he spoke to the King about his cancer diagnosis,” she revealed to the Telegraph.
It is no secret that Harry and Queen Camilla, who formally became his stepmother in 2005, have a tense relationship.
As stated by The-express News reveals that When Harry published his shocking biography in January 2023, he charged Camilla with selling media tales about the Royal Family in order to enhance her own reputation.
Harry called Camilla a “villain” and “dangerous,” saying that she had “sacrificed him” so that she could gain more notoriety.
As he “refused to remain in room with Camilla,” Prince Harry insisted on seeing King Charles by himself.
Last week, Prince Harry travelled to the UK to see his father, King Charles, but according to insiders, he preferred to see him alone.
Prior to this, Lady Lansdowne, Camilla’s close friend Fiona Shelburne, told The Sunday Times that Harry’s remarks “damaged” her.
“Of course it disturbs her, of course it aches,” she remarked. She does not let that bother her, though. She constantly follows the maxim “Less stated, more quickly mended: do not make a big deal out of it and it will work itself out.”
Robert Jobson, a royal expert, claims that the King’s current state of health is the reason Harry’s visit was so brief.
The public learned of The King’s cancer diagnosis on February 5; this information is unrelated to his recent hospitalisation.
Mr. Jobson stated in an interview with The Sun, “You do not want his blood pressure to rise. Whatever kind of disease he has, the King is not doing well and is receiving treatment.”He is best served by maintaining his composure.
