The search for Jay Slater has become even more confusing today. The mayor of Tenerife said Spanish police are now looking into reports that Jay might have been seen watching Euro matches.
Jay Slater, who is 19 years old, disappeared ten days ago after going out for the night in Tenerife. Despite a huge effort to find him, including using dogs, helicopters, drones, and many emergency workers, there’s still no sign of him. His phone was last tracked near Mascare Ravine in Detenno Park, where he called his friend Lucy Law to say he was lost in the mountains with almost no battery and no water.
Mayor Navarro said some people have told the police they saw Jay watching the football games by the coast. But the police haven’t confirmed this yet. This news comes after a blurry picture from a security camera in Santiago Deltide was released. Jay’s family thinks it might show him, and the police are investigating.
Everyone is still hoping and searching for Jay, refusing to give up hope of finding him soon.
