Many people think that Prince Harry finds holidays like Easter difficult because he and his family can’t take part in royal family customs and don’t get to spend time with their cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
People say Prince Harry feels sad because he and his children Archie and Lilibet can’t join in on family traditions at Easter due to ongoing disagreements within the royal family.
The Royal Family gathered for Easter, with King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh attending. Prince Harry, who used to be a prominent member of the family, might feel sad because he and his family couldn’t join in on the traditions, according to a royal expert.
Tom Quinn, a royal expert and author, told the Mirror in an interview that missing Easter plans would have made Prince Harry feel upset. He explained, “The Royal Family usually get together on Easter Sunday at Windsor for a service in St George’s Chapel, followed by a short walk and then a traditional lunch of roast lamb.”
In 2020, Harry and his wife Meghan Markle decided to step back from the royal family and move to Montecito, California. They now live there with their two children, but they still have a distant relationship with the royal family.
Quinn also mentioned, “Harry liked this tradition because he could meet fans for a short time. But what will really bother him this year is that his children won’t get to join the Easter egg hunt that happens later.”
The family tradition goes back to Queen Victoria’s time, and Harry is sad because his children won’t get to spend time with their cousins, as Quinn explained: “Archie and Lillibet would have had a chance to bond with George, Charlotte, and Louis. But because of the family disagreement, this won’t happen, and Harry will feel it deeply.”
Prince Harry is scheduled to return to the UK in May for the Invictus Games’ 10th Anniversary Service at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8. While he’s there, he might have a private reunion with his older brother, Prince William. Their relationship has been tense since Harry and Meghan left the royal family four years ago. After their departure, the couple gave interviews and made comments that seemed to cause a rift in the family.
