Japan’s ‘Baba Vanga’ predicts major disaster to happen in just three months time

A woman in Japan, known as the country’s version of “Baba Vanga,” has been making headlines for her supposed ability to predict disasters—and now, she’s warning of a major catastrophe that could happen in just three months.

Her name is Ryo Tatsuki, a 70-year-old former manga artist who has been sharing her prophetic dreams since the 1980s. Many people believe her predictions have come true over the years, which has led to renewed interest in her old writings, especially her book *The Future I Saw*, where she documented her visions.

For example, she allegedly predicted Freddie Mercury’s death in 1991 and the devastating Kobe earthquake in 1995, which killed around 6,500 people. In her diary, she reportedly wrote something cryptic like, *”The earth cracks in Kobe, 15 days or 15 years later.”*

But that’s not all—some of her followers claim she even foresaw the COVID-19 pandemic. Back in 1995, she supposedly wrote: *”In 25 years, an unknown virus will come in 2020, will disappear after peaking in April, and appear again 10 years later.”*

She’s also said to have predicted Japan’s deadly 2011 tsunami, which took nearly 20,000 lives. Now, her latest vision is causing concern: she reportedly dreamed of the ocean *”boiling”* south of Japan, leading to a massive tsunami.

Her supporters think this could mean an underwater volcanic eruption powerful enough to trigger a disaster. The affected area, shaped like a diamond, might include Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, and the Northern Mariana Islands. And if that wasn’t unsettling enough, she also mentioned seeing *”dragon-like shapes”* moving toward Hawaii.

Tatsuki retired in 2020, referencing a note she made in 1995 about it being her “own funeral”—apparently meaning the end of her career as a manga artist. Her nickname, “Baba Vanga,” comes from the famous blind Bulgarian mystic who supposedly predicted major world events like World War II, 9/11, and even climate change. That Baba Vanga also claimed humanity would end in the year 5079 due to natural disasters and wars—though, of course, she didn’t give many details.

And let’s not forget Nostradamus, the 16th-century French astrologer whose vague prophecies still get interpreted today. Some people think he predicted modern events, while others just think his words were too broad to mean anything specific.

So, will Tatsuki’s latest prediction come true? Only time will tell—but if history is any indication, her warnings are at least worth paying attention to.
