Chilling CCTV footage captures the exact moment an armed mob, including young men from Birmingham, viciously attacked and stabbed a defenseless teenager. This brutal assault left the poor teen fighting for his life with severe stab wounds.
Picture this: CCTV from a nearby business shows the terrifying scene. The mob draws weapons and chases the victim into Coventry city center. Over a dozen witnesses watch in horror as the crowd scatters, realizing the deadly danger. The group corners the teenager and savagely stabs him multiple times. Among the attackers were three men from Birmingham, including Pious Adabie. On July 11, Warwick Crown Court sentenced all eight attackers to a combined total of over 75 years in prison for their roles in this horrific crime.
The young victim tried to run for his life but was quickly caught and attacked again by even more members of the mob. The 19-year-old, who had just attended a music event, was found in Upper Precinct, a busy shopping area in Coventry, severely injured. Thanks to the quick actions of bystanders and emergency services, his life was miraculously saved.
Coventry Police launched one of their biggest investigations ever, meticulously piecing together CCTV footage and phone records to identify all the attackers. While the motive for the attack remains unclear, justice was served swiftly.
On July 11, Warwick Crown Court handed down some serious sentences:

Detective Chief Inspector Adam Jobson from Coventry LPA declared, “This was extreme violence, and these men have rightly lost their freedom. There’s no justification for carrying a weapon, and it’s sheer luck the victim wasn’t more seriously injured. We won’t tolerate this behavior in our city and will continue to take action to get knives off the streets. We will always prosecute those involved in such serious violence.”
