Alastair Stewart shared a heartfelt tribute to Princess Kate on the first episode of GB News’ new podcast, The Royal Record.
At 71 years old, Alastair talked warmly about Princess Kate, especially since she recently announced she had started preventative chemotherapy. During the podcast, he spoke with GB News’ Royal Correspondent Cameron Walker and Royal Editor Svar Nanan-Sen. Alastair shared how much he admires Kate’s dedication to important causes.
He mentioned how impactful it was when Camilla spoke about domestic violence on Radio 4, and when Kate supported a children’s hospice in East Anglia. Alastair, who is involved with a hospice in Hampshire, stressed how much these actions mean to everyone in hospice care.
He expressed his gratitude to the Royal Family for their hard work and the positive impact they have on charities.
Cameron pointed out that having a Royal Family member as a patron is a huge benefit for charities, giving them more attention and respect. Alastair agreed, praising the Royal Family’s dedication and knowledge. He said they are always well-prepared and not just seeking publicity. He emphasized that they truly understand and care about the issues they support.
Princess Kate, who is 42, is currently taking a break from her royal duties to recover from chemotherapy. In January, she underwent major surgery and later discovered she had cancer. She is now resting and recovering at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor. It is uncertain when she will return to her royal responsibilities. In a video message from March, Kate expressed her deep love for her work and said she is focusing on getting better before returning to her duties. She said she looks forward to coming back when she is able.
