Did she really forget about them? Or did she just forge the date on the calendar? That’s what a lot of royal fans can’t help but wonder as Meghan Markle is being called out for supposedly being a hypocrite about her children.
She missed spending Mother’s Day with them this year because she was on a tour of Nigeria with her husband, Prince Harry. Yet, last year she insisted on staying with her son Archie for his birthday rather than attend King Charles’ coronation, which was held on the same day. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Meghan Markle Called Out For Forgetting About Her Children
Meghan Markle is being called out for supposedly forgetting about her children. She and Harry were on a royal-like tour of Nigeria the week of Mother’s Day. And while the Duchess of Sussex has often said that she always puts her family first, a lot of people can’t help but wonder why she would agree to travel overseas on a special holiday like Mother’s Day, especially considering that she wouldn’t spend it with her children.
This same time last year, Meghan insisted on staying home with her son Archie on his fourth birthday instead of spending it with Harry in London for King Charles’ coronation. At least, that’s what her excuse was at the time. But because she missed out on Mother’s Day with her children this year, a lot of people are calling out Meghan for hypocrisy. That, or maybe just her lies. There’s a very good chance that she simply didn’t want to travel to the UK at all.
Did Meghan Markle Make A Huge Mistake?
That said, the Duchess of Sussex did tell her fans in Nigeria that she was especially missing her children on Mother’s Day. But still, a lot of people can’t help but give her a side eye for making the decision to leave her kids several thousands of miles away from home when she could have easily been with them.
So far Meghan Markle herself has not made any comments about the matter.
