According to the Daily Mail, soon after the Duchess of Sussex revealed the first product from her new brand, American Riviera Orchard. It was a strawberry jam that she sent out to 50 of the country’s top influencers. On the same day that Meghan Markle debuted her jam, King Charles’ own Highgrove Organic Strawberry Reserve just happened to sell out. Talk about a coincidence, right?
The Daily Mail even pointed out:
The monarch’s Highgrove Organic Strawberry Preserve was shown as being ‘sold out’ on the estate’s website on Wednesday, hours after the launch of Meghan’s own brand of strawberry jam. However, there is good news for those eager for a taste, as more 340g jars of the flavor were put on sale for £6.95 each on the Highgrove Gardens website on Thursday morning.
Royal Family News: What’s Next For ARO?
Of course, many royal fans and critics had a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some of them even wrote, “Meghan should send the RF a special edition jam basket with a custom flavor made just for them – – – Sour Grapes,” along with, “Was this all to make Meghan feel jealous or something? Because the way she is – normal, gracious, supportive – she would probably just shrug and say ‘good for them. Glad they sold out!’ Are they expecting her to be gnashing her teeth in frustration and jealousy? Because the British media already have that act down pat.”
So far Meghan Markle herself has made no comments.
