A woman who was last employed when she was 19 years old and receiving benefits from the government is apparently using taxpayer money to fund the wedding of her dreams.
The Daily Mail reports Anna Broom, a resident of the UK, has received more than £130,000 from government benefits over the last 14 years.
Mrs. Groom is now 33 years old.
She is now asking for £10000 additional pounds to pay for a wedding at an English castle.
Broom listed a horse and carriage, a designer dress, and enough champagne for 50 guests among the things she needs for her wedding.
Groom told another media source she needs £1800 to honeymoon in Mexico after her wedding.
Broom says she has dreamed of the day she would become a bride since she was 12 years old.
She says she deserves the big church wedding and a reception at a castle.
She says she cannot afford to pay for these things with her benefit payments and is unable to work due to her weight.
Broom says she would possess the motivation to lose some weight if she knew her wedding day was approaching and she would be the center of attention.
Broom dropped out of school when she was 16.
She says she applied for a number of jobs without any luck and eventually gave up the search.
The young woman turned to binge eating and a year later weighed nearly 240 pounds.
A doctor decided she was unable to work due to back problems and depression.
