Prince Harry just won a victory against the Mirror Group Newspapers. And in response, Piers Morgan didn’t hold back in slamming the Duke of Sussex.
For instance, Morgan accused Harry of behaving like a “greedy hypocrite.” But Prince Harry described himself as a gallant knight slaying dragons.
Piers Morgan Slams ‘Greedy Hypocrite’ Prince Harry
Prince Harry has expressed his anger at how journalists write about the royal family, especially his wife Meghan Markle and Harry himself.
But while the Duke of Sussex gloated over winning his court case against Mirror Group Newspapers, Piers Morgan slammed him via Yahoo.
And Morgan stated, “Prince Harry’s outrage at media intrusion into the private lives of the royal family is only matched by his own ruthless greedy and hypocritical enthusiasm for doing it himself.” However, the Duke of Sussex won damages of £140,600 against Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN) at the High Court.
And Piers noted that Harry complained about “the appalling behavior of the press.” But Morgan noted the contradictions. And Piers described Harry as “the guy who has repeatedly trashed his family in public for hundreds of millions of dollars even as two of its most senior and respected members were dying – his grandparents.”
Prince Harry Won’t Take Accountability
But Morgan contended that he finds it challenging to envision any more appalling behavior than Harry has exhibited himself. “As for him saying this is a good day for truth, the duke has been repeatedly exposed in recent years as someone who wouldn’t know the truth if it slapped him in his California-tanned face,” slammed Morgan.
And Piers noted that Harry “demands accountability for the press. But [he] refuses to accept any for himself for smearing the royal family, his own family, as a bunch of callous racists without producing a shred of proof to support those disgraceful claims.”
And Morgan concluded, “[Harry] also says he’s on a mission to reform the media when it’s become clear his real mission, along with his wife, is to destroy the British monarchy.” As a result, Piers vowed to “continue to do whatever I can to stop them.”
Meanwhile, Harry stated via People, “Today’s ruling is vindicating and affirming. I’ve been told that slaying dragons will get you burned,” he declared, comparing himself to a knight. “But in light of today’s victory and the importance of doing what is needed for a free and honest press, it is a worthwhile price to pay. The mission continues.”
