One day, Boyd had to go to work, but the roads were frozen. Her father, aware of this, did something incredible for her. She shared pictures of her father’s act of kindness on Wednesday.
“This is my dad,” she wrote. “He drove to my workplace and waited for me to arrive so he could pour a trail of salt from my vehicle to the front door of my building. He did this to ensure that I, his 38-year-old daughter, wouldn’t slip and fall on the ice. My heart is full of love for you, Daddy.” The pictures show her father with a bag of salt, spreading a path of salt across the icy road. The post touched thousands of people, and in around 24 hours, it received over 70,000 reactions and over 76,000 shares.
Some people commented, suggesting that Boyd should do something extra special for her father. One person wrote, “Definitely give him a HUGE HUG, big enough for all of us who no longer have our dads.” Others wrote, “This melted my heart!” Another said, “What an amazing Daddy you have. I wish mine was still here.”
Someone even pointed out that Boyd’s father was wearing a baseball cap that read, “I am not ashamed of Jesus Christ,” suggesting that his faith might be the reason for his caring and loving attitude towards his daughter.
