The police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a deceased woman in Ladywood last night, Tuesday, 1st August.
At around 8.45pm, a woman was found in a woodland area off Freeth Street with serious injuries. Tragically, despite efforts to save her, she could not be saved.
A 30-year-old man has been taken into custody for questioning in connection with the suspected murder.
Police officers are still at the scene, and they will continue their investigations, which is why there will be a police presence in the area.
