Six activists from the climate group ‘This is Rigged’ staged a protest at the INEOS Grangemouth oil terminal in Scotland. They used glue and concrete to stick their hands to the road, blocking access to the facility. This terminal supplies about 70% of Scotland’s fuel.
The activists wanted to draw attention to the harmful effects of fossil fuels on the environment and demanded a shift towards cleaner and renewable energy sources. By targeting the oil facility, they aimed to show how such places contribute to climate change by releasing greenhouse gases.
