A fight happened on a bus because someone didn’t pay the full fare. The person who works for National Express was hit by the passenger. The police want to talk to the man who did the assault. The police released a picture from the bus’s security camera to help identify the man. If anyone knows him, they should contact the police.
The police spokesperson said, “Can you recognize this man? We need information about an assault on a National Express employee at 7:30 am on March 31. It happened on the X8 National Express bus going to Wolverhampton. The man got on the bus in Rowley Regis and didn’t pay the full fare. When he was confronted, he hit the staff member. We’re asking anyone who knows him or has information to contact us.”
A spokesperson for National Express West Midlands said, “Our staff should be able to work without being afraid of being attacked or threatened. We will take legal action against anyone who doesn’t respect this right. Our buses have up to 12 security cameras, and we work closely with West Midlands Police to prevent crime and antisocial behavior on our buses. The CCTV footage from our buses has helped identify many offenders and bring them to justice.”
