Residents living in fear dialed the emergency hotline (999) when a group of armed men tried to forcefully enter a home in the city. The sh0cking incident took place last night when the gang smashed their way through the patio doors of a house.
West Midlands Police received a distress call regarding the incident at Groveley Lane in Longbridge at approximately 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 24. Concerned residents informed the police that a group of armed men were attempting to gain access to a specific property. There were unconfirmed reports suggesting that at least one of the men was seen wielding a machete.
The patio doors were violently shattered, and the front door suffered noticeable damage during the alarming ordeal. At present, no arrests have been made, and the police are actively conducting investigations to apprehend the suspects.
A spokesperson from the police, speaking to Birminghamgist, stated, “We received a report last night (24th June) around 8 p.m. about armed men trying to gain entry to a property on Groveley Lane in Longbridge. Police officers quickly responded to the call; however, by the time they arrived, the offenders had already fled the scene. The patio doors of the property were completely smashed, and there was visible damage to the front door.
