Little Prince Archie recently turned four years old, and to make his birthday extra special, a friendly local bike shop surprised him with a brand-new bicycle! This thoughtful gift came from Mad Dogs & Englishmen, a bike shop with several locations in Carmel, Mill Valley, Monterey, and Montecito, which is where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, live. The bike shop shared a picture of the thank you note they received from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on their Instagram page.
The note, addressed to the owners of Mad Dogs & Englishmen, Jennifer Blevins and Martin Watson, said, “Dear Martin and Jennifer, Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, would like to express their heartfelt thanks for the wonderful gift you sent to Prince Archie on his fourth birthday. The bike has brought so much joy to him and the entire family. They wanted me to let you know how much they appreciate this delightful surprise.” The note was dated June 6, 2023, and signed by Harrison Colcord from Prince Harry and Meghan’s office.
Excited about the lovely thank you note, Mad Dogs Bike Shop shared a photo of it on their Instagram account, adding a caption that expressed their happiness and the hope that Prince Harry and Meghan didn’t mind them sharing the letter with others.
On the same day as Prince Archie’s birthday, his grandfather, King Charles, had a special event called a coronation. Prince Harry briefly traveled to London to attend the ceremony, but he made sure to return home quickly so he could celebrate his son’s birthday with the family. Meanwhile, Meghan stayed at home with Archie and their daughter, Princess Lilibet. According to a source, the birthday celebration for Archie was a simple and cozy gathering at their home, with close friends and Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, joining in on the fun.
