Three brothers were caught running a drug operation and made over £700,000. They confessed to have sold cocaine in the UK until the police shut down their drug business. The police arrested Altin Hoti, Elvis Hoti, and Yleber Hoti in April 2021. The police checked their phones and found they were the main suppliers.
They would get cocaine from London and use couriers to take the drugs to Bristol, Coventry, and Warwickshire. They also sold a lot of cannabis in Chester. Even after being arrested, Elvis Hoti continued to sell drugs and was caught again.
During the investigation, the police seized drugs worth over £345,000 and more than £450,000 in cash.
The brothers admitted to their crimes in court and were sentenced to long prison terms on July 13th. Altin Hoti got 15 years and 10 months, Elvis Hoti got the same, and Yleber Hoti got 13 years and six months.
The police officer in charge said they stopped a big drug operation that was causing harm. Drugs can ruin lives and lead to more crime, so it was an important result to put the leaders behind bars for a long time.
The police are now working on Operation Target to fight serious crimes like drug dealing, burglary, cyber-crime, and fraud. They are using information from local people, doing raids, and catching criminals to stop these crimes.
