A court has heard that an Afghan asylum seeker allegedly threatened to kill Nigel Farage while traveling to the UK last year. Fayaz Khan, a 26-year-old TikTok personality also known as “Mada Pasa,” faces charges of making death threats against the Reform UK leader and repeatedly using social media to cause distress.

Prosecutors said Khan posted multiple threatening videos targeting Farage between October 12 and 15, 2023. The 61-year-old politician submitted a statement saying the posts caused him “significant distress.”

Khan appeared in Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday wearing a prison tracksuit, with distinctive facial tattoos including an AK-47 inked on his cheek. Speaking through a Dari interpreter, he confirmed his identity but did not enter a plea.

Prosecutor David Burns told the court the alleged threats were made during Khan’s journey from Afghanistan to Britain. The defendant remained silent with his arms crossed throughout the hearing.

District Judge Briony Clarke ordered Khan held in custody until his next appearance at Southwark Crown Court next month, where he will be asked to formally respond to the charges. The case highlights ongoing tensions around migration and political discourse in the UK.

Khan faces two criminal counts: making threats to kill and misusing public communications networks to cause alarm. If convicted, he could face significant prison time. The case continues as authorities examine the content and context of the alleged social media posts.
