UK Men Might Get Ready for Military Draft as World War 3 Could Happen Soon In a New Updates

A former British Army officer, General Sir Richard Shirreff, has issued a stark warning that World War 3 could become a reality within the next two years, with the UK at the center of the conflict.

Shirreff argues that any ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine would only serve as a temporary pause for Vladimir Putin to rebuild his forces before launching another attack.

He emphasizes that the UK and its Western allies must urgently prepare for war to deter Russian aggression.

In an article for MailOnline, Shirreff expressed skepticism about the durability of any peace deal with Russia, stating, “When the Kremlin is ready, Russia will renege in the most bloodthirsty fashion.

He predicts that war could break out within two years unless the West takes decisive action to strengthen its defenses and deterrence capabilities.

Shirreff also highlighted Putin’s disregard for Western lives, citing the 2018 Salisbury nerve agent attack on former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter, which resulted in the death of an innocent Briton and severe harm to a police officer.

He warned that Western politicians must recognize the potential for catastrophic consequences if Russia is not effectively countered.

The former general criticized US President Donald Trump’s approach to the conflict, suggesting that Trump’s actions could inadvertently benefit Russia.

He argued that a European peacekeeping force may be necessary in Ukraine, but Russia would strongly resist any NATO presence near its borders.

Trump has been actively involved in brokering a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia, but his efforts have been controversial. He recently clashed with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House, calling him a “dictator” and accusing him of ingratitude.

Despite these tensions, Trump held a 90-minute phone call with Putin to discuss proposals for a limited ceasefire, including the division of assets and power plants.

Zelensky, however, expressed dissatisfaction with the peace negotiations, particularly the removal of Ukraine’s NATO membership from the table. He described this as a “big gift to Russia,” undermining Ukraine’s security and sovereignty.

The UK government has announced plans to accelerate military planning to support Ukraine, with British troops potentially being deployed to maintain peace in the region.

A spokesperson for Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that the UK would work with coalition partners to determine the best capabilities for addressing specific threats in Ukraine.

Shirreff’s warning underscores the urgency for Western nations to bolster their defenses and prepare for the possibility of a broader conflict.

As tensions between Russia and the West continue to escalate, the need for a coordinated and robust response has never been more critical.
