Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been trying to change how they appear in public, but a royal commentator believes their plan hasn’t worked because they still receive a lot of negative media attention.

Last year, the couple decided to focus on their own projects and make more solo appearances. A friend close to them told People magazine that this was part of their “twin-track approach,” meaning they would promote their individual interests separately.

However, even after taking this new approach, they continue to face criticism. Now, they seem to be going back to appearing together more often. Meghan is set to join Harry in Canada this week for the Invictus Games. A source told Express.co.uk that there will now be a stronger focus on them as a couple, presenting them as a united team and a family.

TalkTV host Kevin O’Sullivan has been critical of their public relations strategy. He believes that even their solo appearances have not helped them improve their image. According to him, Harry and Meghan are very focused on how they are perceived by the public and media.

“For a while, they thought it was better not to appear together too often,” O’Sullivan said. “They did make a joint appearance when they visited the LA fire victims, but that didn’t go well. People accused them of using the tragedy for attention and called them ‘disaster tourists’ and ‘tragedy vultures.’

“Even when they appear separately, they still get a lot of bad press every day. Their plan hasn’t really worked out the way they hoped.”
