A fire broke out at Somerset House, a famous old building in London, today. The fire started on the roof just after noon. Over 100 firefighters are working to put out the flames, and special fire engines with tall ladders have been sent to help.

The area around Somerset House is closed to the public while the firefighters continue their work. People have been told to stay away from the area for safety. Thankfully, no one has been hurt, according to the London police.

Somerset House was supposed to host a breakdancing event later today, but that has been canceled. Pictures on social media show smoke rising from the building as fire trucks arrive.

Somerset House’s official social media account has confirmed that the fire is in a small part of the building, and everyone inside has been safely evacuated. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
