According to a report by the Daily Mail, Tommy Robinson has been inciting far-right race riots across Britain while enjoying a luxurious stay at a five-star hotel in Cyprus. The publication reveals that the former English Defence League leader has been posting inflammatory social media content from his holiday destination, where he is with family and friends.
Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is reportedly mixing with other holidaymakers at an all-inclusive resort near Ayia Napa. Despite having a UK arrest warrant issued against him for skipping a court appearance, Robinson attempted to keep his holiday location secret. The Daily Mail states that his social media posts to his 800,000 followers on X (formerly Twitter) have not disclosed his whereabouts, even as his supporters engaged in riots across the UK.
The Daily Mail notes that Robinson has been observed using his mobile phone while posts appear on his X account, criticizing police for allegedly targeting his supporters and ignoring Muslim protesters. Additionally, the publication reports that Robinson was seen reading a memoir by Patrick Byrne, an American businessman known for conspiracy theories.
The Daily Mail’s investigation traced Robinson’s location after he posted a video from the hotel’s gym. Reporters first spotted him at a beach bar in the resort, which charges over ÂŁ400 a night for a double room during peak season. Robinson was seen wearing a navy blue polo shirt and updating his profile picture on X with an image of himself in the same attire from a previous protest in the UK.
Robinson was also reportedly seen dining with his family and friends at the resort’s pizza restaurant and enjoying drinks at the bar. While others in his group drank beer, Robinson was said to be sipping coffee and scrolling through his phone. The Daily Mail states that he continued posting on social media, criticizing the media for labeling protesters as “far-right” and expressing his views on policing in the UK.
According to the Daily Mail, Robinson was ordered to attend the High Court in London for allegedly breaching an order not to spread false information about a Syrian refugee. After missing the hearing, an arrest warrant was issued but deferred until October to give Robinson time to attend voluntarily. This stems from a previous defamation case in which Robinson was ordered to pay ÂŁ100,000 in damages to Syrian teenager Jamal Hijazi for falsely accusing him of violence.
The Daily Mail further reports that Robinson was detained at the Channel Tunnel terminal in Folkestone under counter-terrorism powers but was later released on bail. He then traveled to Cyprus via Vienna, where he spent a layover at a restaurant owned by chef Wolfgang Puck.
The resort, described on its website as offering stunning views and luxury accommodations, features multiple dining options, including fine dining and bistro-style restaurants. The Daily Mail highlights that many of the rooms have private swim-up pools, emphasizing the resort’s combination of simplicity and luxury.
