Did you hear about Princess Catherine’s appearance at Wimbledon? It was really special. She got a standing ovation from the crowd as she walked into the Royal Box with her daughter, Princess Charlotte, and her sister, Pippa Middleton. This was a big deal because it’s only her second public appearance this year since she announced she was undergoing cancer treatment.
Catherine, also known as Kate Middleton, has stepped back from many of her royal duties to focus on her health. However, she was there to watch the men’s final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic. Both players were hoping to win the big trophy, which Catherine was going to present later that evening.
Before they sat down, Catherine and Charlotte met with some female tennis players, including Emma Raducanu. The players gave Catherine a bouquet of flowers. Charlotte was very excited to meet Emma, even though Emma had lost her match last week. Charlotte wore a cute blue polka dot dress and looked very happy.
Interestingly, Prince George, Charlotte’s brother, wasn’t there. It’s believed he was with his dad, Prince William, in Berlin for the Euros final. The Royal Box at Wimbledon was full of famous people like Julia Roberts, Tom Cruise, Benedict Cumberbatch, and tennis star Andre Agassi. The London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, was also there.
Catherine looked very elegant in a bespoke dress from Safiyaa and carried a leather bag from LK Bennett. She wore slingback shoes by Camilla Elphick and a lovely aquamarine and gold bangle.
Even though Catherine is going through cancer treatment, she continues to show her love for sports. She has been a patron of the All England Club since 2016 and usually presents the trophies at Wimbledon. Her presence and participation at these events show her dedication and strength despite her health challenges.
