A woman, claiming to be the prison guard accused of being filmed while engaging in sexual activity with an inmate at HMP Wandsworth, has finally spoken out.
Linda De Sousa Abreu, 30, was charged last month with misconduct in public office following the alleged appearance in the viral video. The inmate featured in the clip was identified as Linton Weirich, currently serving a four-year and nine-month sentence for burglarizing homes in his Richmond neighborhood, South West London, while wearing an electronic tag.
Now, a woman claiming to be De Sousa Abreu has alleged that others are attempting to profit from re-enactments of the video, highlighting the uncertainty of who one’s real friends are “until s**t hits the fan.” On social media, she criticized adult content creators she claimed were recreating the video and profiting from it. In a video, she stated:
“It is incredibly distasteful to impersonate me by creating OnlyFans content. Please stop tagging the prison in your foolish videos. There are countless other jails worldwide; there’s no need to pretend to be me. You don’t know my side of the story – the media thrives on sensational and salacious tales.
“You truly don’t know who your real friends are until s**t hits the fan. Honestly, family and friends must be chosen with great care. Very, very carefully.”
In a further tirade about the media’s relentless pursuit, she lamented, “I can’t even step into Greggs or Primark without being photographed. It’s incredibly annoying. Often, the people you believed had your back turn out not to. That’s been truly heartbreaking as well.”
