This year, the Princess of Wales has maintained a low profile due to undergoing chemotherapy for an unspecified cancer, making only one official appearance since her illness was announced.
Royal fans have been keen to learn about the family’s well-being during this challenging period. Behind the scenes, the children have been helping in various ways, with Princess Charlotte particularly supporting her mother, according to Royal Expert Ingrid Seward.
Why is Princess Charlotte so protective?
Royal expert and author Ingrid Seward told Hello! that the “protective” nine-year-old princess is taking extra care of Kate.
Seward, who observed their interactions at the Trooping the Colour Parade, was quick to highlight Charlotte’s efforts.
“Charlotte is really looking after her mum. It was touching how she stood in front of her and they kept chatting,” Seward shared with Hello Magazine.
“Charlotte’s admiration for her mother is clear, which is lovely.
“Kate and Charlotte share a special bond. The mother-daughter relationship is very important to Kate, as she has a close relationship with her own mother, Carole Middleton.
At the Trooping the Colour event on June 15, Princess Charlotte showed her support for her mother in a heartwarming manner.
Kate’s three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, joined her at the King’s birthday celebration.
Despite the rainy weather causing their carriage windows to steam up, Charlotte took it upon herself to clean the windows so they could wave to the crowds and be seen through them.
When Kate stopped wiping, Charlotte continued, cleaning the main window for both of them. She also kept an eye on her younger brother, Prince Louis, ensuring he behaved throughout the event, which was more challenging than anyone could have imagined.
