Jay Slater’s mom, Debbie Duncan, is very worried because her son has been missing for nine days. Some of Jay’s friends, including his ex-girlfriend Jessica Ingham, flew to Tenerife to help find him.

Debbie works as a school finance officer and said the Spanish police are doing their best, and they get updates from the consulate. She also mentioned that people from the UK who were at the same festival as Jay are helping with information, but she hasn’t been told much about it.

Jay’s friends have been putting up posters and helping in the search. They are very upset about rumors being spread online and asked people to think about how his mom is feeling. Even though police, mountain rescue teams, dogs, drones, and a helicopter have been searching, there has been no sign of Jay since he disappeared after a rave in Playa de las Americas, southern Tenerife.

Four of Jay’s closest friends, including Jessica, traveled from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, to support Debbie and look for Jay. They searched the Masca gorge, where Jay’s phone was last used after he left the rave with two unknown men. Jessica said she is frustrated with the harmful rumors online and asked people to think about how worried Debbie is.

Debbie is extremely stressed and nearly having a breakdown after nine days without any news. The last confirmed sighting of Jay was by a local woman who saw him walking towards Masca gorge.

He had messaged his friend Lucy Mae Law, saying he was lost in the mountains with no water and a low phone battery. There was also an unconfirmed sighting of Jay with two men near a church in Santiago de Teide.

Jay’s best friend, James Currie, said they can’t give up hope and are there to support Debbie and Jay’s family. Jay’s friends described him as a great friend and said they are committed to finding him. They are frustrated with the online speculation and emphasized the need for empathy and understanding for Jay’s worried family.

The group spent hours searching the rough terrain of Masca gorge, even though it was hard and emotional. Jessica believes Jay might have been taken since there has been no sign of him. She urges anyone who might have him to let him go so he can return home. Jay’s friends and family miss him very much and want him back home safely.
