There appears to be several unwritten ways of doing things ā from not posing for selfies, giving out hugs and wearing nail polish, however, the Princess of Wales has confirmed one strict instruction that all royals must abide by.

But according to The Telegraph, she told them that she wasnāt allowed to, she said: āMy nameās Catherine. Iām not allowed to write my signature, itās just one of those rules.ā
However, instead she drew some sketches for them ā including one of a flower, another of a tree and one of a pond surrounded by some plants. Later during the event, Kate and the children sat down to enjoy picnic time where she was quizzed by the youngsters about royal life, and she said: āYou have to work hardā.
However, one rule that the royals seemed to have overlooked since the Queenās passing is saying no to selfies ā and in fact, they seem to be embracing it. With most well-wishers turning up to royal events with their phones in hand ā the likes of William and Kate have been seen posing with members of the public and smiling for photos.
Although a ban on royals posing for selfies was not part of official protocol, several members of āthe Firmā had previously revealed their dislike of the photos.
