Prince Harry has had quite a journey, and it’s safe to say he owes a lot to his family for that. His departure from Royal duties had a significant impact on his image, as per experts.
The Duke of Sussex’s reputation was, to a large extent, upheld by his family, especially given some potentially controversial moments during his time in the spotlight.
At 39 years old, Harry aimed to chart his own course, which is quite understandable. However, this decision seemed to have taken a toll on his public image. Esther Kru, a respected writer and broadcaster, shared her insights with Sky News Australia, pointing out that since Harry and Meghan Markle took control of their public image, it has taken a nosedive.
Leaving the Royal life behind in 2021, Harry and Meghan now call the United States home, where they reside with their two children, Archie (four) and Lilibet (two). They have ventured into the world of media, securing lucrative contracts with giants like Netflix and Spotify. Additionally, they haven’t shied away from expressing their thoughts on the Royal family.
While their Netflix partnership remains robust, with their docu-series “Harry and Meghan” enjoying great success, their Spotify podcast didn’t fare as well. In fact, it was recently announced that the podcast would not continue after just one series. The Spotify CEO revealed in an interview with the BBC that the decision was driven by the need for new innovations and offerings that would delight consumers while providing opportunities for new creators.
Other insiders, said to be close to the reported £18 million podcast deal, suggested that the podcast was dropped due to a lack of sufficient content to justify the full payment.
