Kerry Katona has been hit with shockingly vile insults by restaurant staff during a meal out – and told “don’t come back”. The ITV I’m A Celebrity star and fiance Ryan Mahoney visited a Karen’s Diner for a meal.
The 42-year-old posted about the trip on Instagram – and the restaurant chain, which has an eatery in Birmingham and is renowned for abusing customers, replied: “Don’t come back.”
Ryan was forced to wear a hat reading: “I cry when I c**.” Kerry then giggled in the caption: “How did they know?” Her own hat read: “I spent my child support on ‘girls nights out’.”
Kerry wrote: “Honestly, we all had so much fun. The staff were fab absolutely made our night.” She also shared footage of other diners getting abused. A waiter asked: “What’s your name?” and when Ryan told him, the lad responded with a brutal: “What a s*** name.”
The infamous Aussie restaurant, in Grand Central, Birmingham, sees punters purposely verbally abused in an outlandish culinary experience. Poor service and extremely offensive staff are the name of the game at Karen’s Diner from the moment you enter their establishment.
The restaurant, which is due to open in Melbourne and Brisbane too, is a mickey-take of the recent emergence of the ‘Karen’ meme, which refers to middle-class entitled white women who love to complain. “Karen’s is an interactive diner and an absurdly fun experience,” the website reads.
“At Karen’s you will be greeted and waited upon by rude waiters who in return are expecting you to give it full Karen. A place where you can complain until the cows come home because we literally don’t care. Our staff are rude, our manners are non-existent and we’re the perfect place for Karen’s everywhere to vent their anger and dismay at the world.”
